Environmental Superintendent | Darwin, NTCELOTTI WORKFORCE is seeking an experienced Environmental Superintendent to lead environmental and community initiatives in mining operations. This role involves developing strategies, ensuring compliance, and leading a team to drive sustainable practices within the industry, based in Darwin NT.Key Responsibilities:Develop and implement environmental and community management plans and mitigation strategies.Identify and fulfil all compliance requirements related to environmental and community aspects.Maintain environmental and community registers and corresponding management programmes.Provide leadership across environmental and community functions.Manage the environmental monitoring programme to meet requirements and adhere to relevant QA and QC standards.Ensure accurate reporting that satisfies all internal and external requirements.Offer technical advice and support on environmental and community management.Align management frameworks with relevant quality and environmental standards.Assess stakeholder materiality and implement leading practice programmes.Oversee cultural heritage management.Ensure the health and safety of personnel and contractors in the Environment & Community team.Ensure team compliance with all health and safety requirements.Manage budgeting and resource allocation efficiently.Foster a culture of continuous improvement within the team.Lead and manage the team, including capability development and succession planning.Contribute to the development of effective environmental and community strategic programmes.Develop team KPIs and provide leadership to maximise outputs.Our Ideal Candidate:Degree qualified in an environment-related field.Minimum of 10 years' environmental experience in mining or heavy industry.Exposure to community relations and engagement is desirable.Demonstrated knowledge of OHS and environmental legislation.Experience in risk management and HSEC management system implementation.Proven ability to supervise and develop large work teams.Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel.Knowledge of budgeting processes.Sound understanding of environmental aspects and impacts in mining and minerals processing.Commitment to compliance with Australian Acts, mine regulations, and Health, Safety, and Environmental standards.Ability to provide technical support on environmental issues.Effective communication skills with internal and external stakeholders.Experience in reviewing Environmental Management Systems for compliance.Ability to supervise environmental personnel activities.Experience in developing and implementing rehabilitation plans.Ability to organise logistics for rehabilitation assessments.Responsibility for accurate completion of work to achieve budget plans.Assistance in developing annual objectives and targets based on safety, health, and environmental risk assessments.Support in developing site operational procedures relevant to environmental management.Assistance with corrective actions associated with environmental incidents.Benefits:Permanent, full time position (ongoing role)Competitive salary package + allowances + superannuationRelocation assistance available for successful candidate (if relocating to Darwin)FIFO roster from Darwin (5/2, 4/3)Flights, accommodation, and meals provided while on rosterJoin our client's dynamic team and lead environmental and community initiatives in a thriving mining operation!To Apply:If this is a position you could see yourself in, please click APPLY, or get in touch with Bec Thorn from CELOTTI WORKFORCE on 07 3608 5486, or send your resume to ******.
