The Listowel Wingham Hospitals Alliance was formed on July 1, 2003 as a partnership between Listowel Memorial Hospital and Wingham and District Hospital. We share a common management structure with one CEO. We have a commitment to partnership and common Mission, Vision and Values. The Alliance Board consists of both hospital boards combined. We look for opportunities to create and share services and programs across our two communities and to look for creative ways to link to our community partners.
The Listowel Memorial Hospital has been providing acute care and complex continuing care services to the residents of North Perth and the hospital's catchment area since 1919. Our fully accredited hospital offers a wide range of primary and secondary services including 24-hour emergency services, in-patient and out-patient care, specialist clinics, and supportive diagnostic services. The Hospital has an active staff of 10 Family Practitioners as well as several consultant staff.

Description: The Environmental Services Aide maintains environmental and infection control standards within established policies and procedures of the health care center. The position performs a variety of general cleaning tasks to maintain patient rooms, offices, hallways and other assigned areas of the facility. The position follows standard practices and procedures and complies with regulatory requirements. This is a part-time position that is anticipated to begin on January 8, 2025. The successful candidate will be available for Monday to Friday shifts from 0630-1430, 0700-1500, 1100-1900 and 1500-2300, as well as weekend shifts from 0700-1500 and 1500-2300.
Responsibilities: Apply cleaning procedures to clean and disinfect surfaces following detailed instructions and procedures taking into account specific room precautions for each room. Maintain records of areas cleaned.Follow PIDAC (Provincial Infectious Diseases Advisory Committee) best practices for cleaning and disinfecting in a Health Care Environment.Use floor scrubber, burnisher, I-mops, wax applicator, steamer, carpet cleaner, vacuum cleaner, and ladders.Lead, support or participate in key activities or action plans as identified on applicable Operational Plans.Active member of applicable team/unit/department meetings and huddles.Qualifications: Completion of High School Grade 120 - 3 month's related experienceHigh Degree of physical effortAverage degree of mental effort and analysisSalary: $24.96 – $26.45 per hour
