We're looking for experienced Environmental Scientists to join our Environmental Impact Assessment team, preferably with at least 3 years of relevant experience working on Western Australian projects.
About Us Aurora Environmental is a locally owned consultancy driven by a passion for the environment. We offer robust, cost-effective solutions in environmental assessment and management, leaving a positive impact across sectors like infrastructure, mining, and urban development.
The Opportunity Due to demand for EIA specialists, we have multiple openings available. At least one of the positions (possibly two positions) will be based within a client's office in a secondment capacity for approximately 12 months (or longer) working on transport related projects. Your primary focus will be related to environmental assessments, preparation of environmental management plans, environmental offsets and proactive support to ensure client needs are met.
Key Responsibilities / Requirements Prepare high-quality technical reports (Environmental Management Plans, EIAs, Offset Strategies).Manage projects (deliverables and budgets) and provide specialist practical advice to clients.Consult and negotiate with external stakeholders including government, industry, the community, professional organisations and/or interest groups.Participate in industry groups and functions to build your network and represent Aurora.About You We value diverse perspectives and skills. The right fit for our team is enthusiastic and has the following skills and experience:
Tertiary qualifications in environmental impact assessment, environmental management, or related.Knowledge of WA and Commonwealth environmental legislation.Experience in preparing Part IV, Part V, or EPBC referrals, assessments, applications and approvals.Experience in writing environmental offset strategies and environmental management plans.Competency with spatial software such as QGIS, ArcGIS Pro.Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.Client-focused and responsive.Capacity to work remotely within a client's office with minimal supervision and direction.Self-motivated, curious, and team oriented.Why Aurora?
