We have an opportunity for an Environmental Consultant with practical skills in environmental monitoring and project management to join a private, boutique environmental consultancy based in Queensland.
We are growing very quickly and need a good enviro to help in this growth process.
If you have had experience dealing with mining companies, you will edge up towards the top of the queue.
A lot of our work is on mine sites, so we have to deal with the red tape.
Expertise with groundwater and surface water would be a great advantage.
Over many years, we have developed particular expertise in groundwater and surface water sampling, so practical field experience is very important.
The role will involve field work as well as managing your own projects.
You will also use your experience to mentor other team members.

What you will bring to the role: Tertiary qualifications in a physical science discipline.
A solid working knowledge of environmental planning, approvals, and management.
Clear and concise written communication and report writing skills.
Ability to be mobile, as some projects will require overnight stays of up to a week.
Excellent planning and time management skills.
Experience in compiling successful tenders and quotes.
Experience in managing environmental data.
The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Current unrestricted working rights in Australia.
Eligibility for Membership of EIANZ or other relevant professional membership body.
Fit for work and able to carry 25kg eskies.
Drivers Licence (P Plates OK).
A practical engineering mindset will be very helpful.
A good sense of humour.
