Recent government policy documents outline plans to facilitate increasing transmission interconnection between states and development of renewable energy zones.
The Opportunity In your new role, you will utilise your professional expertise to provide environmental planning advice and secure approvals for Transgrid's programs of work.
You'll deliver high-quality environmental assessments, implement best-practice procedures, and ensure compliance with environmental planning obligations.
Collaborating with internal and external stakeholders, you'll provide timely advice and utilise GIS tools to support environmental assessments and mapping.

About you 3+ years' experience in the management and preparation of environmental impact assessments in NSW in accordance with Part 5 of the Environmental Planning and Assessment Act 1979.Tertiary qualification at degree level in an environmental planning/ management related discipline.Good understanding and demonstrated experience in the use of geographic information systems related to environmental planning and management.Demonstrated experience in managing contracted environmental specialist services, coupled with excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.Recognition & Reward In return for your hard work, we have numerous benefits and initiatives to support you personally and professionally including but not limited to private health insurance discount, motor vehicle lease plan, career development support, study assistance program and workplace flexibility.
