Position: Environmental OfficerTo help keep Queensland moving, we are actively recruiting for an Environmental Officer with previous exposure to:

Providing technical and specialist environmental advice regarding implementation of environmental assessments, legislation, compliance and management during all project phases.

Undertaking environmental assessments, environmental management plans, contract specifications, audits and briefs to engage external resources.

Exercising creativity and initiative in investigating, analysing and conceptualising possible options to meet design objectives.

Working with internal and external stakeholders on matters relating to road infrastructure development activities in your jurisdiction.

Identifying possible problem areas and negotiating modifications or adaptations to design briefs, as necessary.

Providing guidance on the scope and direction of project activities as well as being a key advisor to project management teams regarding environmental issues.

A degree qualification from a tertiary institution in environmental science, environmental management, environmental planning, resource management, environmental engineering or other equivalent qualifications is a mandatory requirement of this role.
