Our Values: FAMILY: Family values are at the heart of who we areINTEGRITY: We always try to do what's rightCOLLABORATION: We are one teamCURIOSITY: We're open minded and want to learnThe Opportunity: As our Environmental Officer, you will be responsible for enabling environmental compliance in relation to environmental licenses and legislative requirements to identify and implement improvement in relation to environmental cost, risk, waste reduction, water reduction and other utilities at the Linley Valley Pork abattoir and CMG Farms. This role will be based at our Wundowie location with flexible working arrangements available.
You will be responsible for: Develop environmental management plans for Linley Valley Pork and each CM Farms Operation.Develop processes and tools to monitor, analyze, investigate and report on environmental outcomes for each site.Engage with teams on site to coach and guide in data capture and recording to meet obligations under both the environmental management plan and the relevant legislation.Undertake regular environmental risk assessments at each site, including in relation to capital works programs, to identify and effectively remove or reduce environmental risks.Work closely with the Linley Valley Pork and CM Farms teams to ensure compliance with relevant environmental management protocols and ensure staff are aware of their obligations in relation to environmental matters.Evaluating environmental compliance in relation to environmental licenses and legislative requirements relevant to each site.Support decision making by managers in relation to environmental compliance and regulation requirements.Ensure effective monitoring and record keeping is occurring as required at each site to enable reporting to validate environmental compliance.About You: Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science or related fieldMinimum 2 years post-graduate experience in an environmental management/compliance roleDemonstrated knowledge of environmental legislation, operating licenses, monitoring programs, standards, and best environmental practice in relation to water, land use, contamination and waste disposalDemonstrated ability to engage stakeholders and influence through building strong relationshipsExcellent written and verbal communication skillsExperience in processing and/or farming environments would be highly regardedCompetitive Pay: We offer highly competitive pay to reward your skills and dedication.
