Due to an internal promotion, Ventia are seeking a Senior Environmental Officer to work across their Sydney Roads and Asset Performance Contract. The successful candidate will be offered a full-time permanent role to support the contract in managing environmental risk through partnership with the delivery and maintenance teams.
The Sydney Roads and Asset Performance Contract covers the Western Corridor of greater Western Sydney and consists of more than 919kms of road, 158 bridges, 1 tunnel, 681kms of cycleway, 186kms of roadside safety barriers, 23.800 traffic signs and 708 traffic signals. Ventia were awarded this work in 2019 and have an initial 9 year contract signed with options to extend.
Flexible working hours and arrangements No two days are the same – gain experience across multiple departments Upskilling and on the job training provided Access to the Employee Assistance Program Access to VenPerks: discounts on private health care, hotels, car hire, retail and more Key Duties and Responsibilities Protect adjacent communities and maintain the environmental value of surrounding places through effective management of noise, vibration, dust, visual amenity and more Work with the community engagement team to inform communication and notifications Develop and maintain relationships with stakeholders such as TfNSW, Local Councils, Aboriginal Land Councils, National Parks and more Work with delivery and maintenance teams to ensure environmental controls are planned and implanted on site Development and review of environmental assessment and relevant environmental permits Review construction environmental management plans (CEMPs) for projects Additional duties related to the above About You Experience working in a similar role and industry Assist the team with any questions and queries Tertiary qualification in environmental studies Hold a drivers license and white card Have icam training and/or a lead auditor certificate (preferrable) About Ventia Ventia is a leading infrastructure services company, operating across Australia and New Zealand.
