Make a positive impact working in the environment and waste team as an Environmental Compliance Officer!
This is a great opportunity on an initial temporary casual basis with the possibility of extension.
About the Role
Working for a Ballarat based organisation, your role will include:

Working with the Environment and waste management team to ensure contractors on key sites around the Ballarat region are meeting compliance requirements.
Conducting site audits and reporting for multiple sites across the region.

The Assignment
Immediate start

Initial 6 month contract (potential for extension)
Monday to Friday
Office located in Ballarat, VIC
Hybrid work available - 2 days office, 3 days WFH
Hourly pay rate flexible - commensurate with experience

What You Will Do

Conduct compliance audits on site and regular site inspections to ensure compliance requirements are being met at waste facilities.
Review important documents including reports, scope documents, and monitoring reports to ensure compliance.
Conduct accurate reporting and develop accurate statements for submission to government environmental regulators and auditors.

What You Will Have

Experience working in an environmental or waste management compliance or audit role.
Tertiary qualifications in compliance, environmental science or management, or a related field desirable.
