We are growing and have a new position for an energetic and self-motivated Environmental Health Officer to join our small, collaborative Environmental Health team in delivering a wide range of environmental health functions for our diverse community.
We are open to considering recent graduates, or aspiring EHOs currently completing a recognised tertiary qualification in Environmental Health, with an enthusiastic attitude and a commitment to learning.

As an Environmental Health Officer in our team, you will undertake a diverse range of tasks including inspections and assessment of business, food and accommodation premises, review and approval of building plans, event applications and other applications, and monitoring compliance. You will participate in the implementation of public health plans and initiatives, including the Mosquito Management Plan, and provide input to, and assessment of a range of activities impacting public health.
You will use your friendly and flexible communication style to build and maintain strong working relationships within the organisation and build partnerships with community members and key stakeholders in the wider region.
