Your New Role: Provide expert technical support in Geotechnical engineering matters across the corporation. Offer technical guidance in Safety in Design (SiD) matters ensuring compliance across all geotechnical activities. Collaborate with the Principal Engineer to enhance the teams' capabilities and with contractors, vendors, and engineering providers to meet requirements. Evaluate and recommend new and emerging technologies for adoption. Work effectively within the solutions team collaborating across multi-disciplinary teams to achieve desired engineering outcomes. Determine suitability of new and emerging technology to benefit the corporation. Provide specialist knowledge in complex geotechnical engineering investigations and design with a deep understanding of industry procedures, technical standards, and regulatory frameworks. Travel to sites to assess engineering situations frequently. This role has the ability to influence the engineering team working with the Principal Engineer to achieve the company objectives. As the Senior Engineer of the Team you will need the following to be successful:
Tertiary qualifications in Civil or Geotechnical Engineering. Postgraduate qualifications are desirable but not essential. Sound knowledge of Geotechnical engineering procedures and practices. Experience in the provision of investigation, concept and detailed design of Geotechnical infrastructure. Demonstrated experience in executing complex and critical engineering investigations. Knowledge to develop project specific geotechnical specifications. Chartered Professional Engineer with Engineers Australia (EA) or in the process of obtaining chartership with EA is desirable.
