As an experienced Field Service Technician , this is an excellent opportunity for you to utilise your sound technical knowledge and further develop your skills.
Ideally, you will require the following: This role requires the expertise of an electrical/electronic/scientific instrumentation technician

with robust mechanical skills, to assemble, service, and maintain environmental pollution monitoring equipment with an emphasis on air, blast, and noise monitoring .
You will encounter a variety of measuring technologies and should be comfortable with electronic devices, calibration tools, and data logging equipment.
You will also need experience with and a comprehensive understanding of the ISO quality system

and documentation requirements.
The role will be based in Dubbo, NSW , and will involve frequent travel to client sites in regional NSW.
Key Responsibilities: Installation, Servicing, and Maintenance of Monitoring Equipment Assemble, install, and maintain equipment and/or systems to Acoem standards and industry specifications.
Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance on monitoring systems to ensure optimal performance.
Plan field trips thoroughly, ensuring all necessary tools, spares, and equipment are available to complete tasks.
Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to coordinate site visits, equipment upgrades, and service requests.
Ensure proper documentation is completed efficiently and on time, including calibration forms and customer service reports.
Adhere to health and safety protocols and maintain compliance with regulatory requirements.

Systems, Operation, and Maintenance Perform troubleshooting and diagnostics to promptly resolve technical issues.
Maintain up-to-date certification for test/calibration equipment.
Ensure inventory levels of spare parts, tools, and consumables for field service operations.
Support the long-term maintenance and operation of monitoring systems for contracted projects.

Customer Support & Liaison Foster positive relationships with clients, delivering high-quality service and customer satisfaction.
Provide on-site and remote support and technical troubleshooting for customers.
Offer training to customers on the operation and maintenance of monitoring equipment.
Attend necessary certification and site inductions as required.

What skills, qualifications & experience would you need to be successful in this role?
Diploma or degree in environmental science, engineering, or instrumentation technology.
Experience in field service or technical support, ideally in the environmental monitoring or instrumentation industry.
Strong mechanical aptitude with proficiency in troubleshooting and repairing electronic and mechanical systems.
Familiarity with air quality monitoring principles, instrumentation, and regulatory requirements.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to interact with clients, colleagues, and stakeholders.
Self-motivated and capable of working independently with minimal supervision.
Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to various work sites as required.
