About the role Join our team in Sydney as an Environmental Database Manager, where you'll play a vital role in the management and enhancement of our ESdat system—an essential tool for Contaminated Land Management projects used across Australia. This role offers a unique opportunity to collaborate with our Digital Creative Services team and Contaminated Land Consultants to continuously improve data management efficiency and accuracy. As the Environmental Database Manager, you'll ensure we deliver high-quality outcomes to our clients while supporting system improvement and optimisation.
Tasks and Responsibilities Collaborate with Contaminated Land Consultants to troubleshoot and resolve ESdat system issues. Manage and ensure the quality of Environmental Standards data within the ESdat system. Serve as the primary point of contact for ESdat-related queries, providing support to users. Develop training materials and user guides to enhance team proficiency with the ESdat system. Oversee general database management and reporting functions, ensuring data accuracy. Lead project management efforts focused on ongoing system improvements and enhancements. About you Minimum of 2 years in an environmental data management role is essential. Proficiency with environmental databases like ESdat or Equis is highly desirable. Knowledge of scripting languages, such as SQL or Python, is also a strong advantage. Ability to work collaboratively, building effective relationships across teams. A proactive problem-solver with an interest in system improvement and optimisation. Why work for JBS&G?
