About the Role As the Environmental Subject Matter Expert (SME) on the Site HSE Team, you will be responsible for ensuring that all environmental conditions outlined in issued permits and commitments made in permit applications are upheld. Additionally, you will provide support to ensure full compliance with all applicable HSE law. The role will be based on Macintyre Wind Farm.
Responsibilities Collaborate with global and site teams to ensure successful environmental outcomes. Advise on Environmental Management Plans, permits, and conditions. Submit required documentation and conduct environmental inspections. Monitor contractor activities for environmental compliance. Serve as key contact for chemical approvals and manage hazardous substances. Facilitate risk workshops, deliver inductions, and manage system platforms (Enablon, Risk Wizard, Rapid). Lead incident investigations, support audits, and train site personnel on HSE compliance. Seek improvements in Acciona's Management Systems, encouraging team input. Key Result Areas Promote a positive HSE culture, ensuring compliance with legislation. Fulfill contract obligations and meet project HSE outcomes. Qualifications and Experience Cert IV in Environmental Management and Sustainability with relevant experience. Experience with environmental management systems (e.g., ISO 14001). Fauna Spotter/Catcher and IECA ESC training preferred. WHS qualification and Cert IV Trainer/Assessor preferred. ICAM certification preferred. Experience in environmental performance reporting, compliance, and inspections. Strong communication skills, supporting stakeholders and teams. Ability to manage multiple tasks, work independently, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Positive attitude, attention to detail, and integrity. Team player and clear communicator.
