Environmental Coordinator

Our client is a leading company in the pharmaceutical industry, committed to sustainability and environmental stewardship. We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Environmental Coordinator to join their team and play a crucial role in managing and enhancing the company's environmental performance.
As an Environmental Coordinator, you will be responsible for identifying and studying the existing and potential environmental aspects and impacts of the operations. Your role will involve developing sustainable solutions to reduce the site's environmental footprint, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, and providing technical support for the Wastewater Treatment Plant (WWTP).
Key Responsibilities: Analyze and reduce environmental impacts; ensure EPN and regulatory compliance. Monitor and ensure adherence to state and federal regulations; handle annual EPA, NPI, and NGER reporting. Support WWTP compliance and manage permit conditions. Develop and oversee environmental programs, training, and sampling. Manage and investigate EHS incidents. Liaise with government agencies and advise on environmental impacts. Maintain and report environmental data and documentation. Support EHS and Toxic Substances Committees; review chemicals and manage risks. Qualifications: Degree in Environmental Science, Chemical Engineering, or Chemistry is essential. 3-5 years in a scientific, environmental, or engineering role. Postgraduate study in a relevant field desirable. Knowledge of environmental controls, waste management, and Environmental Management Systems. Skills Required: Computer literacy and process design expertise. Strong communication and organizational skills. Environmentally committed, detail-oriented, and team-focused.
