Join our diverse team dedicated to making a lasting positive impact as we transition to cleaner forms of energy.As the Environmental Coordinator for the Southwest Region, you will play a crucial role in our clients Australian Environmental Team. You will be the technical focal point for environmental inputs and aspects of the Upstream Delivery Process, coordinating Field Ecologists to execute Site Selection and Environmental surveys safely. Your responsibilities will include managing internal stakeholder interfaces, supporting Environment Advisors, and contributing to Shell's environmental ambitions.Key Responsibilities:Delivering ecological site assessments for proposed environmental impact and post-decommissioning in line with regulatory approvals.Prioritizing and coordinating scopes of work and survey execution, ensuring alignment with business requirements.Managing processes and procedures related to surveys, identifying opportunities for improvements and efficiencies.Engaging with stakeholders in the Integrated Approvals Upstream Delivery Process, including Environment, Social Performance, Land Management, Health and Safety, Indigenous Relations, Engineering, Construction, and Operations.Interface with Ecology Services contracting companies and support the Offsets & Ecology Contract Holder in managing HSSE risks.Collaborate with Biodiversity Advisor and Geomatics team on geospatial data requirements and deliverables.Managing, reviewing, auditing, and reporting on completed surveys, ensuring quality assurance of geospatial data, CAD drawings, and reports.What We Need from You:Deep commitment to Goal Zero and personal accountability.Degree(s) or equivalent in an environmental or relevant science or technical discipline, or project management.Relevant experience in environmental regulation, field ecology, or environment planning, and implementing environmental management plans or permits and approvals.Project management experience, including scheduling, HSSE, and contract management (preferable).Demonstrated experience in ecology survey practices, with associated experience managing ecological geospatial Arc GIS data (highly regarded).Strong interpersonal, written, and presentation skills with the ability to connect stakeholders across the business and deliver solutions for stakeholder concerns.Courage to share views, insights, and uncomfortable truths while accepting and supporting decisions made.Relentless drive for simplification and improvement in a systematic and collaborative manner.Location and Working Arrangements: This is a Brisbane-based role with limited routine time required in the Upstream Gasfield (Chinchilla).This position requires the full right to work in Australia.Please send through your CV by clicking APPLY!
