ENVIRONMENTAL CONSULTANT
North Sydney or Newcastle base
The Level 5 Consultant works on billable projects within Ramboll's services and may also support business critical proposal and/or marketing efforts.
Employees in this job family will typically be working with minimal supervision on projects and performing tasks within the consulting/engineering field.

The L05 Senior Consultant performs analysis and leads own individual workstream from a task perspective, soliciting the help of less experienced resources.
You will guide less-experienced colleagues, and spends most of your time on client projects, having responsibility for part of the problem solving process.

ROLE DESCRIPTION
We currently have exciting opportunities to join our impact assessment team across our NSW offices in Newcastle and Sydney.
We're looking for motivated and passionate people to join our growing team of environmental consultants who genuinely care about what they do and help to embed sustainability in how we operate day-to-day as a team and as a company.

You would become part of our rapidly growing impact assessment team, focusing on environmental assessments and statutory approvals for a broad range of infrastructure and renewable energy projects.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES
TECHNICAL:
Provision of specialist advice in relation to statutory planning, planning and environmental approvals, environmental management and impacts assessments to facilitate project outcomes.
Undertake independent technical analyses and assigned tasks with minimal supervision.
Prepare environmental impact assessment and management documentation and other client deliverables as required.
PROJECT/PEOPLE MANAGEMENT:
Coordinate/project manage impact assessment projects, including stakeholder engagement, coordination of specialist assessments and interfacing across project teams.
Conduct site visits and/or fieldwork (as relevant) and lead/coordinate other specialists undertaking site visits/fieldwork.
Manage own time independently to complete assigned tasks.
May delegate parts of own work to others.
Provide training/mentoring to less experienced staff.
Clearly communicate work results to supervisor, colleagues and clients.
CLIENT SERVICE:
Support in the development of proposals and bid submissions.
Support client relationships and build new relationships in continued support of developing our team.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor's degree in a relevant engineering discipline (civil, environmental, chemical) or relevant science discipline (environmental science, geology, chemistry, physics, toxicology or biology) and 5+ years of qualifying experience.
