Health, Safety & Environment (Construction) The Riverina Redevelopment Joint Venture is a 50/50 joint venture between CPB Contractors and Downer to undertake major upgrades and replacement of existing infrastructure and facilities to support Defence capability for the next 30 years.

Construction of new messing and living in accommodationConstruction of new training facilitiesRefurbishment and upgrading of existing buildingsRemedial works and upgrades to infrastructure servicesThe Opportunity As an Environmental Advisor, your responsibilities will include:
Water quality monitoring, testing and reportingNoise and vibration monitoring and reportingEnsure compliance with project environmental approvalsManaging subcontractor's environmental compliance and reportingDeveloping and delivering training sessions and toolbox talks to project team and subcontractors on environmental aspectsConducting environmental audits on subcontractors as the Lead AuditorConducting and recording environmental site inspections at least weeklyAttendance at Construction Planning meetingsManagement of environmental documents and record keepingLiaising with the construction teams to prepare construction community notifications, out of hours applications (Notice of Disruption), newsletters and presentation materialMeeting regularly with the project Client to provide updated construction status information and out of hours applicationsProactively preparing community communications on emerging community issuesReceiving and actioning project complaints and enquiries to resolve complaints and provide project informationResponding to calls and complaintsOrganising and attending meetings with key stakeholders and property ownersCoordinating site events, site tours and educational site visitsEnsuring compliance with project approvals relating to community notifications and complaints reporting.What you'll bring Hold or able to obtain a Government Security Clearance (Australian citizen is required)A tertiary qualification in Environmental Science or similar fieldLead auditor training and/or experience5+ years' experience in construction in a related fieldA sound knowledge of environmental legislation and requirementsBroad knowledge of safety and health legislationWritten and verbal communication skillsAnalytical, negotiation and relationship skillsMore than anything, you'll have a strong work ethic, a positive attitude, and a drive to provide high quality outcomes for the Social Infrastructure and Citizen Services business unit and our clients.
This role is locally based in the Wagga Wagga area and for those outside of the area, relocation is required. An attractive relocation package that includes removalist cost and a LAFHA (for eligible individuals) will be made available to the successful applicant.
