Environmental Advisor - Projects & ApprovalsFull-time Ongoing This role contributes to managing the environmental assessment and approval processes for TI infrastructure projects.
It will also provide specialist environmental planning, project and approvals support and advice in executing Tasmanian Irrigation new-build and augmentation projects.

We plan, develop, and construct complex irrigation projects, manage a range of assets, and play a critical role in assisting the Tasmanian Government achieve its target of increasing the farmgate value of the State's agricultural sector.
You will Use your strong expertise with permitting processes, EPBC environmental approvals, and regulations to help achieve our goal of avoiding and minimising the impact of our activities on environmental and cultural heritage values.Provide specialist advice to project planning and delivery teams to ensure environment approvals are achieved and managed in a timely manner and to a very high standard.Collaborate with project managers and consultants to address environmental risks and develop mitigation strategies.Actively promote sustainability and environmental awareness and motivate change that protects the environment through good decision-making and actions.Proactively identify risks and develop effective strategies and solutions that ensure our activities are carried out safely and sustainably.Be adaptable and use strong communication and interpersonal skills to build and maintain constructive relationships and to collaborate with and influence diverse stakeholders.Be primarily based in the office but will also drive to inspect construction work sites, remote monitoring locations, operating agricultural facilities, and new scheme assessments.This is a fantastic opportunity to work and live in Tasmania and contribute to the growth of the State's agribusiness sector.
