Health, Safety & Environment (Construction) Full time Mcconnel Dowell is currently seeking Environmental Advisor experienced in Marine and underwater acoustics to join the Mardie Salt Potash Marine Structure project.

The project is an exemplar of what can be achieved in coastal protection during major marine construction.
About the Project: The Mardie Salt and Potash Project is in the north-west coast of WA (approximately 135km south-west of Karratha) and includes the design, fabrication, supply, construction, installation and commissioning of Port Marine Structures that has an export capacity of 3,300 TPH of industrial grade salt and sulphate of potash.
About the role: Empower and motivate the workforce to proactively manage their interface with the natural and built environments.
Review, instruct, record, and report all environmental matters relating to any given works area of the project.
Be responsible for the inspection, monitoring and provision of advice relating to construction activities to ensure compliance with environmental obligations in accordance with the Construction Environmental Management Plan.
Ensure that planned controls for environmental aspects of works areas are met in accordance with the construction teams Work Method Statements (WMS), the project CEMP or Environmental Protection Instructions (EPIs).
Report to the HS&E Manager any potential or actual environmental aspect or impact.
About you: Bachelors Degree in environmental management (or similar) Experience in environmental monitoring (noise, dust, vibration) Marine Mammal Observer Training Excellent communication skills Ability to form strong relationships with all stakeholders in order to bring everyone into alignment on key objectives.
