Environmental Advisor

What are you going to do

The Environment Approvals Advisor will be responsible for writing and submitting mining proposals to government agencies, as well as obtaining necessary environmental approvals for mining activities. This role will also require the Advisor to provide support for Part IV approvals as needed.

The successful candidate will be expected to work closely with internal and external stakeholders to ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards. Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills are essential for success in this role.

The Environment Approvals Advisor will need to be able to adapt to frequently changing deliverables and scopes of work. The role will initially be full-time in the office, but may offer hybrid working hours beyond that.

Essential skills and knowledge Requirements: 2-5 years of experience working in the mining sector is highly desirableA degree in environmental science or a related fieldMining approvals experience within Australia is a must-have for this roleA Class C manual driving licenceExperience with GIS softwareStrong communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to work well in a team and independentlyKnowledge of environmental regulations and standardsExperience in incident investigationsYou must have current right to work in Australia to be considered for this role Benefits: 12 month contract$70-90 per hour plus super dependent on experienceSalary sacrificingEmployee Assistance Program (EAP)Corporate discounts #J-18808-Ljbffr
