About the role: We are currently seeking an experienced and motivated site Environmental Advisor to join our team on a permanent, full-time basis on an 8:6 roster.
Reporting directly to the Environment and Sustainability Manager, you will provide professional advice and support to the Mt Ida Gold Project and Bottle Creek Operations, managing environmental risk and ensuring conformance with all environmental and community obligations.
Your duties will include but are not limited to: Assist the Environment and Sustainability Manager in communicating and implementing the environmental components of the Company's Environmental Management System across operations.Provide timely environmental advice and education to stakeholders, contractors, and staff.Manage the collection, storage, and interpretation of quality environmental data, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and producing quality deliverables for reports.Contribute to internal and external environmental reporting, including Annual Environmental Reports and compliance documentation.Oversee planned environmental disturbance and clearance activities.Conduct environmental compliance audits and inspections.Lead investigations and reporting on environmental incidents and non-compliances, recommending improvements.Assist the Environmental Manager in preparing and securing applications for approvals, licenses, and project planning.Facilitate environmental awareness and training for site personnel.Role Requirements: Tertiary qualification in Environmental Science or similar3+ years' experience in an environmental function within the mining industryAn in-depth knowledge of Western Australian environment and heritage legislative requirementsExperience in regulatory submissionsExperience in Geographical Information Systems (ArcGIS, QGIS, etc.)
