THE OPPORTUNITY: Reporting to the Manager - Environment, the Environmental Advisor is responsible for supporting Pilbara Minerals' ongoing growth profile, ensure compliance is maintained with the numerous regulatory requirements and strengthen the Company's position with regards to maintaining ISO compliant Environmental Management Systems.
This is a permanent full-time (Monday to Friday) position based at our West Perth office, with regular travel to our Pilgangoora Operation in the Pilbara region.
Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Development of, and ongoing assessment against internal systems including the PLS Environmental Management System. Conduct periodic Evaluation of Compliance. Working closely with the Risk & Compliance team to coordinate and deliver independent annual environmental compliance auditing. Coordinating regular site inspections with the site based Environmental team to ensure consistency on adequacy of inspections and ongoing regulatory compliance. Maintaining the environmental compliance database (INX InForm) with correct lodgement of documentation, allocation of tasks and tracking of closure. Coordinating Environmental, Land Access and Approvals risk assessments and maintenance of the currency of the Pilbara Minerals environmental risk register. ABOUT YOU: Degree in Environmental Science or other relevant science/engineering discipline. Auditing experience. Working knowledge of ISO 14001:2015. 2 years mining industry experience. Knowledge of statutory environmental requirements. Computer literacy skills including Microsoft packages.
