This is a permanent opportunity, working an 8 days on, 6 days off FIFO roster or similar, based at our Leonora Operations. Reporting to the Environmental Superintendent, you will provide specialist environment support and services to Leonora Operations consistent with minimising risk to the environment and in a manner that complies with environmental legislation and licence conditions and with the Company's ASPIRE set of vision and values.
The opportunity:Providing support to the Environmental Superintendent in the development, communication and effective implementation of the Environmental components of the Company's Environment Management System across the Operations.Provide guidance to the Operations Teams to meet internal and external environmental compliance obligations.Contributing to ensuring the effective operation of the Company's Environment Management System across the Operations, and identifying and recommending business improvements.Contribute to the collection, storage and interpretation of reliable environmental data and records, including maintaining a compliance register identifying prescribed statutory accountabilities and the site personnel with those primary accountabilities.Assisting in providing timely, accurate and relevant environmental management-related services and support (e.g., advice, environmental training and inductions, reviews, reports, and contribution to activities such as environmental risk assessments, incident investigations, and water, land management, rehabilitation, and flora and fauna management strategies) to the site managers.Carry out workplace environmental compliance inspections and provide coaching and instruction to employees and contractors through the Visual leadership system.Ensuring timely, accurate reporting (internal/external) to Environmental Superintendent and other relevant internal and external parties.What you can expect from us:A caring and supportive culture.The opportunity to have full autonomy of your role, working with Leaders across the operation, with dedicated support and coaching from the regional HR team.Professional and positive team environments on site and across the business.A 'grow our own' approach with a preference to develop and promote internally.Access to professional development activities and educational assistance.Competitive salary, and options for salary sacrificing.Comfortable private ensuite accommodation and healthy lifestyle facilities.What we will expect from you:A tertiary qualification in Environmental Science or equivalent.Demonstrated relevant experience, with practical understanding of environmental regulatory environments, best practice and general environmental systems and procedures.Relevant experience in a mining and/or heavy engineering environment.Does this sound like you?
