Located near Muswellbrook, the operation has successfully ramped up to 10.5 Mtpa (ROM) of high-quality thermal coal whilst achieving outstanding safety, environmental, and community outcomes via a "One Team" mentality adopted by employees, business partners, contractors, and suppliers. With an impending growth phase and associated capital projects, MACH Energy's winning team is looking to expand with a full-time Environmental Advisor. About the role: Reporting to the Environmental Superintendent the Environmental Advisor, will support all aspects of the environment function through providing timely guidance and service to operational personnel. This will incorporate delivery of the mine's performance targets and compliance to corporate and legislative requirements. Your responsibilities will include: Delivering positive mine rehabilitation outcomes; Coordinate the Land Management program which includes pest management, biodiversity and ecological commitments, erosion/sediment control and drainage, water licencing; Provide support to the operation in optimising environmental outcomes, promoting environmental awareness and ensuring statutory compliance; Coordinate site environmental risk assessments and audits; GIS mapping and application; and Liaise with consultants and contractors to ensure completion of field monitoring requirements, timely submission of reports and completion of other general environmental activities. You will play a pivotal role in ensuring we continue to improve the environmental performance of the Mount Pleasant Operation, respecting the communities and environments in which we live and operate. About you: As a vision-driven, goal focused environmental professional, you will be motivated by the ability to grow within your field at an accelerated pace. Experience Required: Tertiary qualifications in Environmental Science or equivalent; 0-3 years of industry experience in an environmental advisory capacity; Demonstrated experience with environmental monitoring and data analysis and interpretation; Knowledge of New South Wales environmental legislation and post approval regulation; Ability to critically analyse data/information and prepare relevant reports relating to environment, offsets, and cultural heritage; and Excellent verbal and written communication, and teamwork skills. Competence with GIS systems– desirable Erosion and sediment control qualification – desirable Applications will be considered from Graduates and candidates with less industry experience than outlined above, salary package will align with relevant experience.
