We have an exciting opportunity to join one of the largest paper & packaging companies in Australia as our team is currently looking for an Environment & Sustainability Specialist to come onboard!
The key focus of this role will be to:
Implement & maintain the Opal Group environmental management system.
Support sites to implement appropriate environmental processes and procedures to ensure compliance.
Conduct scheduled audits and produce audit reports for each site visited.
Develop and maintain our environmental knowledge library.
Keep abreast of Environmental Regulatory changes and support sites to comply where required, including providing simple and helpful updates and explanations to sites.
Develop and oversee projects that promote water sustainability across our sites.
Work within the broader Environment & Sustainability team to achieve key environment and sustainability objectives.

For this role, we would ideally like you to have:
A Bachelor's degree in Sustainability, Environmental Science, or similar.
Masters in Environment & Sustainability highly regarded.
Some industry work experience in environmental compliance or sustainability issues preferred.
An organised approach to your work and be data-focused and detail-oriented.
The ability to work and communicate effectively with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders.
Strong analytical skills and a systematic approach.
