The EPA Experience See the impact in the communities we live in: at EPA you see your work first-handRange of internal working groups, networks, and volunteering opportunitiesOn-the-job training for a wide range of environmental rolesFlexible start and finish timesAbout the role: As a member of a team, you will be responsible for EPA's on-ground regulatory response in the region, including education, compliance monitoring and inspections, and managing non-compliance via regulatory notices and enforcement action.
This is an exciting role for an operational regulator that wants to contribute to the success of the EPA as it enters a new era of environmental protection in Victoria.
In this role you will: Work collaboratively with co-regulators, duty holders, communities, local governments and other partners to drive improved environmental and public health outcomes; and provide local intelligence to inform EPA's strategic regulatory priorities.Comply with all legislative, policy and process obligations and requirements in the conduct of regulatory operations.Actively contribute to the development of a positive and high performing team culture, including by identifying and implementing opportunities to improve teamwork practices.Actively support the conduct of investigations; and the delivery of preventative projects and compliance programs aligned to EPA's regulatory priorities.Participate in the response to environmental and public health emergencies and incidents.Skills and experience: Ability to be present at times and locations as required to successfully perform the role.
This is usually satisfied by the possession of a current Victorian driver's licence.Successful completion of Authorised Officer and Field Response Officer training (on-job) (or completion within a reasonable time frame from commencement in the role).Ability to work as an effective member of a cohesive team, with a demonstrated commitment to the successful delivery of the highest organisational priorities.Ability to deliver regulatory operations to meet organisational objectives.Ability to apply relevant government legislation, regulations, reporting directives and procedures, to achieve optimal organisational outcomes.Click the "Apply" button to submit your application and cover letter addressing the key selection criteria.
