VPS Grade 3 salary - $76,817 to $93,275 + 11.5% superannuation

Location – Sunshine, Victoria

About the role:

You will use your initiative to prioritise tasks and monitor workflow in delivering frontline regulatory operations, aligned to EPA's strategic priorities, to prevent harm to Victorian communities and the environment from pollution and waste.
This is an exciting role for an operational regulator that wants to contribute to the success of the EPA as it enters a new era of environmental protection in Victoria.
In this role you will:

Use your initiative and prioritise tasks to deliver regulatory actions to prevent harm to communities and the environment from pollution and waste through education and engagement, compliance monitoring and inspections, and managing non-compliance with environmental laws via regulatory notices and enforcement action.
Actively contribute to the development of a positive and high-performing team culture, including by identifying and implementing opportunities to improve teamwork practices.
Actively support the conduct of investigations; and the delivery of preventative projects and compliance programs aligned to EPA's regulatory priorities.
Participate in the response to environmental and public health emergencies and incidents.

Skills and experience:

Ability to be present at times and locations as required to successfully perform the role.
This is usually satisfied by the possession of a current Victorian driver's licence.
Successful completion of Authorised Officer and Field Response Officer training (on-job) (or completion within a reasonable time frame from commencement in the role).
Ability to deliver regulatory operations to meet organisational objectives.
Ability to apply relevant government legislation, regulations, reporting directives, and procedures, to achieve optimal organisational outcomes.
