$125,536 to $132,125 pro-rata, per-annum + super
Key Responsibilities: Protect Tasmania's environment and way of life. Partner with passionate environmental staff in meeting the EPA's requirements. Work with the team of scientific water specialists. Provide expert advice in relation to the EPA's water quality monitoring activities. Represent the EPA as required on water quality matters and maintain a knowledge and understanding of interstate and international standards and guidelines. Lead the EPA's Water Section, in its provision of water quality advice and water quality monitoring services. As an experienced Water Specialist and Manager you will: Bring your knowledge and people skills to support your team. Influence positive outcomes for the Agency. Receive ongoing training and support to further hone your management capability. We offer: 20 days annual leave a year (plus paid shutdown between Christmas and New Year). Flexible working arrangements. About Us: The EPA was established as an independent statutory authority under the Environmental Management and Pollution Control Act 1994 (EMPCA) as an integral part of Tasmania's Resource Management and Planning System. It was also established as a standalone agency under the State Service Act 2000 in December 2021. The EPA has professional and specialist staff within four divisions: Office of the CEO; Environmental Assessments; Environmental Regulation and Salmon Environmental Regulation.
