About Us The Environment Protection Authority (EPA) is South Australia's independent environment protection regulator. The organisation works to protect, restore and improve the environment through the risk-based regulation of pollution, waste, noise and radiation. The EPA works closely with industry, the community and government to protect the unique natural environment while supporting economic growth and improving wellbeing. The EPA is responsible for the administration of the Environment Protection Act 1993 (EP Act) and the Radiation Protection and Control Act 2021 (RPC Act) and also exercises responsibilities under other South Australian planning and environmental legislation.
About the Role The Senior Business Analyst is responsible for leading and undertaking a full range of business analysis functions for EPA ICT initiatives in addition to improving operational business processes and workflows. This role bridges the gap between business needs and digital solutions contributing to the overall success of the organisation by analysing business requirements and accurately translating them into functional specifications including user stories.
The role also determines solution based options, provides advice and makes recommendations to assist the EPA to achieve its statutory functions and support its strategic decision making. The role is expected to actively participate in continuous learning and seek opportunities to follow the best industry practices.
Success in the role is underpinned by the ability to work in partnership with key internal and external stakeholders.

Desirable Qualifications and Selection Criteria Appropriate Tertiary qualifications in system analysis or design, information technology, computer science or similar. Industry certification in Business Analysis. Knowledge of SA public sector administrative procedures, particularly in relation to acquisition of IT related goods and services and audit requirements. Experience in pursuing user/human centric design. Remuneration ASO7 ($108,109 to $116,864) + 11.5% superannuation paid to your choice of super fund.
