About the Role Based at our Kewdale site, the Environment and Sustainability Coordinator supports the Environment and Sustainability Manager to deliver Sandvik Ground Support Division's environmental and sustainability objectives in ensuring that the APAC business is compliant with all license requirements and social obligations in relation to environmental and sustainability legislation, standards, and voluntary commitments by the management. The duties and responsibilities associated with this role will include, but are not limited to:
Identify and implement relevant requirements under environmental and sustainability national/state legislation, standards and guidelines and take lead in implementation of these at our sites.Coordinate activities related to environment and sustainability such as waste management, liaising with external vendors on matters related to environment and sustainability.Assist in development and implementation of the business's environmental management systems and associated documents.Record and compile data from monitoring instruments and external laboratory reports into spreadsheets and databases, analyse, interpret trends, and identify any potential for changes in results or non-compliance with site environmental licences and/or voluntary commitments by Sandvik Ground Support Division.Undertake compliance reporting, including NPI, NGERS, ABS, Environmental Licences and sustainability reporting to internal and external stakeholders.About You To be considered for this opportunity, you must have a tertiary qualification in Environmental/Sustainability or a related discipline, along with 2-3 years of experience. A strong understanding of local, national, and international environmental laws, standards, and regulations—such as waste management, emissions, and energy efficiency—is essential. You should also possess the ability to plan, implement, and manage sustainability projects from inception to completion, ensuring timely and budget-conscious delivery. Additionally, a high level of attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and a willingness to travel are required.
