Job Description So, we are seeking a confident and enthusiastic Environment and Community Officer, who shares our values – Think Sharp, Dig In and Care - to join our high performing team. Reporting to the Environment & Community Superintendent, this role is responsible for supporting the operation to achieve and maintain positive community engagement and compliance with environmental obligations. ABOUT THE ROLE Develop and maintain positive working relationships with external stakeholders, including government and the community Coordination of community engagement activities Support the implementation of HVO environmental management programs and plans, as contained in the EMS (inlcuding Air, Noise, Blasting, Waste, Water); Develop and deliver environmental training packages Coordinate environmental monitoring programmes and monitoring systems Responsible for internal and external reporting Assist with audit programmes (internal and external) and undertake environmental inspections to verify environmental controls Supporting operations to maintain compliance with water obligations. Maintaining water infrastructure/water management plans and site water balance.
