About the role
We are seeking a skilled professional who thrives on tackling complex challenges and delivering impactful solutions that contribute to the PTA's environmental responsibilities, ensuring our projects meet legislative requirements and align with the PTA's Environmental Management System.
As an Environmental Advisor, you will work closely with the Environmental Manager and Principal Environment Advisor to offer technical advice, conduct site inspections and audits, and ensure compliance with environmental obligations.
Strong relationship-building skills are key to your success, as you'll work collaboratively with both internal and external stakeholders.
You should be knowledgeable in a broad range of environmental issues, including contaminated sites, groundwater management, vegetation management, Aboriginal heritage, asbestos management, and noise and vibration management.
A strong track record in engaging with and managing environmental consultants is also essential.
To be successful in this role, you will need a tertiary qualification in Environmental Science, Environmental Management, or a related discipline, and experience applying environmental legislation and ensuring compliance outcomes in the context of major construction projects.

To excel in this role, you should possess:
Tertiary qualification in Environmental Science, Environmental Management or related disciplines.Knowledge and understanding of environmental legislation and its application to the delivery of transport infrastructure projects.Demonstrated experience in engaging and managing environmental and Aboriginal heritage consultants.Relevant, practical experience in environmental management as it relates to the delivery of transport infrastructure projects.Site compliance and assurance experience on construction projects.Knowledge and experience with a broad range of environmental issues such as contaminated sites, groundwater management, vegetation management, Aboriginal heritage, asbestos and noise and vibration.About Us
