Job Opportunity: Environment Advisor
DFP Perth are seeking an experienced Environment Advisor to engage on a temporary contract with a State Government agency based in Perth's CBD.
Start Date: Immediate
Contract Length: 6 months
Pay rate: $96, 307.00 – $121, 569.00 based on experience
Location: Perth CBD
Role Description: As an Environmental Advisor you will be providing expert advice for major State Government transport projects. Work closely with the Environmental Manager to ensure compliance with legislation and environmental standards.
Responsibilities Offer technical advice and support, conducting compliance reviews and facilitating stakeholder communication.Manage consultant contracts and coordinate environmental reporting.Represent the Environmental Services Branch at workshops and maintain stakeholder relationships.Fulfill additional duties as required.
Selection Criteria Core Competencies: Relevant tertiary qualification in Environmental Science or related fields.Understanding of environmental legislation and its application.Experience in engaging and managing consultants, with practical knowledge of environmental management in transport projects. Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Strong verbal and written communication, negotiation, and facilitation skills.Ability to work effectively in a team. Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills: Proficiency in analysis, research, and report writing. Organisational Skills: Demonstrated ability to work autonomously. Special Requirements: Satisfactory completion of medical examinations and a current Police Clearance certificate.Possession of a valid Western Australian 'C' or 'C-A' Class Driver's Licensed or equivalent.Ability to meet the requirement of Supervised Worker (SW) Track Access within an agreed period.
