Role Details:Reporting to the Lead: Environment, you will be responsible for the management of environmental activities in accordance with Gold Fields EHS standards whilst maintaining strict compliance with relevant legislative and statutory requirements to ensure sustainable mining an employee at Gold Fields, we expect all levels of employees to act in a manner that seeks to align and enhance the values, safety culture and performance of Gold Fields with the purpose of creating enduring value beyond mining.This role is offered on an 8 days on 6 days off Fly in Fly out roster from Perth.Benefits include:6% Site Allowance & Private Health Insurance AllowanceQuarterly Bonus SchemeVirgin Velocity reward pointsSalary sacrifice optionsIncreased leave entitlements for annual leave, paid primary and secondary parental leaveAbout the role:Partner with key stakeholders in the provision of proactive environmental managementEnsure effective programs with controls are in place to be compliant with legislative and corporate obligationsContribute to sustainable mining by advising on and facilitating approvals for operations, including but not limited to considerations of tenure, stakeholder consultation and legal permissions under the relevant Environment and Mining ActsAssist in the continuous improvement and maintenance of the site's ISO14001 certified Environmental Management SystemCoordinate and undertake site monitoring programs, data collection and analysis, and reporting to ensure compliance with legal and other requirements.Providing education and assistance to Gold Fields staff in environmental matters onsiteCompiling and reviewing internal and external environmental reports for regulators and corporate process.About you:A Tertiary qualification in Environmental Science or similarPrevious experience in an environmental functionA good understanding of Western Australia legislation (DEMIRS & DWER)Experienced in Environmental Annual reports, NPI/NGERS, site inspections, ISO14001 and monitoring programsPrevious experience in managing land access, approvals, closure projects and associated stakeholder engagement will be highly regarded but not essentialIntermediate level of competency in Microsoft Office and ArcGIS applicationsAbility to communicate well on all levels within the businessApplications can be submitted via: are committed to achieving a diverse and inclusive workforce, and strongly encourage applications from female, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders, as well as candidates with culturally diverse backgrounds.
