The Role: Reporting to the Manager Environmental Compliance & Assurance, the purpose of the role is to provide support to the business to comply with Arrow's environmental regulatory requirements by undertaking assurance, assisting in the implementation of Arrow's HSE Management System, preparing environmental regulatory deliverables for project execution, operation and rehabilitation activities, and managing environmental records and data. The role collaborates with project, operational and approvals teams within Arrow and liaises with regulatory stakeholders and consultants.
This is a Brisbane-based position and will require occasional travel to our field operations as required, with plenty of notice.
In addition, you will: Demonstrate a personal commitment to consistently role model Arrow's values, code of conduct, safety and the environment.Establish positive and productive working relationships with key stakeholders.Model inclusive behaviours to create a safe environment where different views and perspectives are encouraged and valued.Prepare environmental deliverables for submission to the regulator for project execution, operation and decommissioning activities (e.g., EA Annual Returns; Estimated Rehabilitation Cost calculations; Plan of Operations; Financial Provisioning Scheme submissions; EPBC Annual Report; Progressive Rehabilitation Certification).Assure and track environmental regulatory actions and deliverables and maintain associated compliance systems and registers.Maintain a proficient knowledge of relevant legislation, regulations and guidelines and apply this knowledge to business activities.Assist in the development, maintenance and implementation of relevant processes and procedures within Arrow's Health, Safety and Environment Management System in accordance with legislation, best industry practice, Arrow Energy's strategies and policies.About You You will demonstrate excellent interpersonal and communication skills along with the ability to contribute to a high performing team with a second-to-none focus on safety and integrity.
To be considered for this role, you will ideally have: University degree.Experience in positions with significant environmental management content.Direct or indirect experience in the resource industry, with coal seam gas industry experience desirable.Skills to navigate information systems and procure, compile, manage and report data and information.Understanding and application of relevant environmental legislation, regulations, guidelines and other requirements.Experience in preparing environmental reports for provision to the regulator and experience liaising with the regulator.Experience in the development of environmental procedures and plans.Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders.Experience in rehabilitation, auditing, and working with consultants is desirable.If you're excited about this role however don't meet all the criteria, we would still love to hear from you anyway.
