About the role In 2024, Liontown Resources reached a major milestone by achieving the first production of lithium at the Kathleen Valley project, right on schedule. As we continue to scale our operations, we are opening a few Entry Level Process Operator opportunities. These roles will be permanent, site-based opportunities on an 8/6 day shift-only FIFO roster from Perth.
This is a unique traineeship opportunity designed for those eager to learn and grow within the industry. As part of our structured training program, you will start on day shift and work your way through different areas of the processing plant. Throughout this journey, you will be enrolled in a Certificate III in Process Plant Operations.
As you gain experience and progress, you will transition into more advanced operator roles and could be offered rotational roster positions in the future, giving you the chance to build a long-term career with Liontown.
Learn and assist in the day-to-day operation of the lithium processing plant.Monitor and operate plant equipment to ensure efficient production.Participate in on-the-job training to gain hands-on experience across various plant areas.Adhere to all safety and operational protocols to maintain a safe work environment.Work closely with experienced team members to develop your skills and knowledge in process plant operations.About the processing department Our lithium and tantalum processing facility design, the world's largest of its kind, incorporates a wide range of different processing technologies. The process equipment has been selected from the most modern designs available in the market. Our plant is designed for maintainability and operability from the start.
This is an exciting opportunity to join our newly established processing department and have the opportunity to be a part of building our team. Finding the right people for the start-up of our plant is important to us, we will be looking for people that want to be here and be part of our team long term.
About you Experience in the mining industry in other roles such as TA, trades, mobile plant, or other operational roles will be highly regarded.Eager to learn and develop a career in the mining industry.Strong commitment to safety and following procedures.Positive attitude, with the ability to work as part of a team.Willingness to undertake a Certificate III in Process Plant Operations.Mobile plant experience desired but not essential – Bobcat, EWP, IT Loader, Tele Handler.Effective communication and interpersonal skills.Demonstrated commitment to safety and continuous improvement.Have obtained a National Police Clearance within the last 6 months or can obtain one.Able to pass a Pre-Employment medical and Drug and Alcohol screen.Why Liontown Our purpose is to find and develop lithium and other mineral deposits required to support the transition to a low-carbon future.
