Job Description Qualified Social Worker, Knowsley Council, Adults Safeguarding Team - Must be a Qualified Social Worker with a minimum of 2 years+ UK Social Worker experience within an Adult Social Work team.

The team works extremely well together to ensure the safety of vulnerable adults under the close supervision of a supportive Team Manager.

The responsibilities will include:
Undertake safeguarding enquiries in line with the Care Act 2019.
Identify concerns in relation to allegations of abuse or neglect, if the adult has care and support needs and as a result of these needs unable to safeguard themselves.
Work within adult social care and demonstrate an ability to undertake Care Act assessments, Mental Capacity assessments, and safeguarding adult enquiries.
Safeguard and promote the welfare of adults at risk and their families/carers alongside implementing the Making Safeguarding Personal and strengths-based approach to safeguarding adults.
Report writing.
Home Visits.
Liaise with other professionals.
36 hours per week (flexible by negotiation).
2 Month Temporary Contract.
Start date subject to DBS and reference clearance.
