We are seeking an experienced Data Architect to join our Outcomes and Evidence team to design and document our enterprise data architecture, as well as develop, maintain, communicate and monitor adherence to our data architecture principles. We are seeking a strategic thinker with a strong understanding of data architecture principles to work with a variety of stakeholders to ensure data integrity, security and usability across VLA's digital systems.The Enterprise Data Architect will be building on existing work we have done to establish and document data architecture, while formalising the organisational approach to data architecture. In this role, you would also work closely with VLA's Digital Transformation and Technology (DTT) team on a range of projects and business as usual work including data modelling and data architecture work in the development of new systems and applications.This role is based at our Melbourne CBD office on Wurundjeri Country.About youAs our ideal candidate, you will possess:Extensive experience in designing, documenting and managing enterprise data architectures (mandatory).Demonstrated ability to quickly understand the functions and processes of diverse business areas, including their reporting and compliance requirements.Proven ability to clearly and effectively communicate complex data architecture concepts to diverse stakeholders, including technical and non-technical audiences.Experience delivering data architecture related services within a Victorian government context (highly desirable).Bachelor or Master of Information Management, Statistics, Computer Science or other relevant area (highly desirable) and/or equivalent experience.About Victoria Legal AidWe provide legal representation to those who need it most.
