Details of Department The ENT/Head and Neck department is part of the Division of Surgery, Anaesthesia and Procedural Medicine. It is responsible for providing services within the specialty to patients across Austin Health, situated at Austin Hospital and Heidelberg Repatriation Hospital.
The priority for this position is to assist the accredited registrars and the rest of the team in running the ENT Unit efficiently and effectively across two campuses (Austin and Repatriation Hospitals).
Key Accountabilities: Ensuring all theatre lists/clinics have appropriate cover across all sites where Austin Health provides surgery services, including the Heidelberg Repatriation Hospital.Demonstrating a commitment to high-quality patient care.Working as a team member with peer medical, junior medical, nursing, and other clinical staff to provide efficient, safe, and quality care across the continuum.Demonstrating a commitment to teaching, training, and research.About You To be successful in this role, you'll bring with you:
Registration with the Medical Board of Victoria (AHPRA).Fellowship Certificate (Specialist Medical College).Completed specialist training in an accredited Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery program, including exit exams.Demonstrated clinical practice at a high standard.Well-developed communication, negotiation, and presentation skills in English.Prior experience in microsurgery.Experience in clinical research is desirable.Please note: You will be required to attach copies of the following to your online application:
