About the roleWe are seeking a values-driven and proactive Enrolled Nurse! You will provide specialised withdrawal management nursing services for vulnerable clients seeking medical assistance for addiction and undergoing detox.
Reporting to the Team Leader, this is a Casual position, based in Townsville, QLD. Salary is in accordance with QLD Nurses EA Registered Nurse Level 1.
You will successfullySupport and liaise with visiting medical officersDispense and administer medication to manage withdrawal symptomsPerform activities such as admission, discharge, maintain case notes and other required documentation, and handover at change of shiftsDemonstrate commitment to an environment that values continuous improvement and innovation in delivery of high quality servicesYou will haveRelevant qualifications in Nursing and current Registration with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)Minimum 2 years experience and demonstrated competence in nursing in the Alcohol and Other Drugs nursing environment, including working with people with mental health conditions.Willingness and ability to work overnight shiftsDemonstrated effective communication skills with people displaying challenging behavioursDemonstrated skills in triage, medical assessment, decision making and providing appropriate nursing interventions to provide crisis supportDemonstrated current knowledge of Guidelines related to withdrawal managementCurrent Driver's LicenceBlue Card (QLD WWCC)What we offerAs a registered NFP we offer our eligible employees real and meaningful benefits such as:
