The Enrolled Nurse provides direct patient/client centred nursing care to assigned patients/clients, within the scope of practice of an enrolled nurse and under the direction and supervision of a registered nurse/midwife to achieve planned patient outcomes.
King Island Hospital and Community Health Centre King Island Hospital and Health Centre (KIHHC) are looking for experienced Enrolled Nurses with an interest in developing their skills in Aged Care. KIHHC provides an exceptional aged care service offering 14 permanent residential aged care beds providing high, low and respite care. You will be well supported in this role by a large multi-disciplinary team including close supervision by Registered Nurses and the Clinical Nurse Educator.

The Hospital is located in Currie which is King Island's largest town and administrative centre.

King Island Hospital & Health Centre hasfour acute care beds, a palliative room with adjoining family room, two emergency rooms, treatment room, outpatients consulting rooms, 14 permanent residential aged care beds providing permanent and respite care.
Details of Appointment Multiple permanent full time or part time, shift-worker positions working up to 76 hours per fortnight to commence when you are available to join our team.

Applicants should note that, for a period of twelve months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill subsequent or similar full time and part time vacancies. Salary:$68,913 to $75,902 pro rataper annum. Our Employer 11% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.
You'll have access to salary package a range of benefits including living expenses up to $9,010 + $2,650 in meal entertainment each FBT year + other benefits if eligible.
In addition, the following allowances calculated on the salaried incremental point may be available:
District Allowances of up to $2385.25 per annum for a family Remote and Rural Professional Development Allowance of$3,614 per annum and an additional salary allowance of 10% Post Graduate Allowance of up to 7.5% based on qualification type Salary range is in accordance with Nurses and Midwives (Tasmanian State Service) Agreement 2023 and Nurses and Midwives (Tasmanian State Service) Interim Agreement 2013 Successful applicants will be required to meet the essential criteria:
Registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia as an Enrolled Nurse (holds a Board-approved qualification in administration of medicines) *Registration/licences that are essential requirements of this role must remain current and valid at all times whilst employed in this role and the status of these may be checked at any time during employment. It is the employee's responsibility to ensure that registration/licences remain current and to advise the Employer if their circumstances change. This includes notifying the Employer if a registration/licence is revoked, cancelled or has its conditions altered. The Head of the State Service has determined that the person nominated for this job is to satisfy a pre-employment check before taking up the appointment, on promotion or transfer. The following checks are to be conducted:
Conviction checks in the following areas: crimes of violence sex related offences serious drug offences crimes involving dishonesty Disciplinary action in previous employment check. *As required by the Commonwealth Home Support Program and/or the Aged Care Act, occupants of this role are required to undertake a conviction check assessment every three years.
