NOTE: A zero alcohol carriage and possession limit applies to the community of Woorabinda.About us:Woorabinda, located on the traditional lands of the Wadja Wadja people in Central Queensland, is an Aboriginal Shire Council Community 175 km south-west of Rockhampton.
The Woorabinda MPHS provides comprehensive healthcare to the town and nearby rural areas, supported by 63 staff across medical, nursing, allied health, and administrative roles.
Services include 24-hour emergency care, inpatient and aged care, maternal and child health, public health, chronic disease management, and mental health support.
Specialist outpatient services, including pharmacy and dental care, are also available.
The service operates a 7-bed hospital, a 4-bed aged care unit, a mental health facility, and a 6-chair renal dialysis unit.
About the role:The Assistant in Nursing delivers direct nursing care and personal care to residents and patients of the Woorabinda Multi-Purpose Health Service in accordance with the nursing care plan and with the policies and procedures and general guidelines of the Health Service, supervised by a Registered Nurse.
About you:Mandatory qualification/s: Current registration as an Enrolled Nurse with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) and a current annual practicing certificate.Current clinical knowledge and skills in Aged Care and Rural and Remote nursing practice.Demonstrated ability to contribute to the nursing assessment and care of individuals and groups by practicing within their scope of practice as an Enrolled Nurse in the Rural and Remote/MPHS setting.What we offer:Salary information: Total remuneration value of up to $77,179 p.a.
