Full-time or Part-time roles available – Work to suit you! Take your Nursing career to the next level at Newcastle Private Hospital Newcastle Private Hospital is seeking an experienced Surgical Ward EN to join our Team on a Full-time or Part-time basis.
Work to suit your lifestyle with flexible rostering and a supportive team, with opportunities to develop skills across other areas of the hospital.
You will play a key role in ensuring high levels of patient care are provided.
About us
Come and join our expert team of surgeons, specialist doctors, dedicated nurses, and allied health professionals at Newcastle Private Hospital. We are a 189-bed, acute, private hospital facility co-located on the John Hunter Campus at Rankin Park. The hospital has 11 theatres including a hybrid theatre and a 15-bed Intensive Care Unit.
We also have a cardiac suite including a cardiac catheter laboratory and a 16-bed Coronary Care Unit. A private maternity suite including 6 birthing suites and a special care baby nursery is available for families in the Newcastle region. Newcastle Private Oncology Centre provides specialty care for individuals and their families/carers undergoing all aspects of cancer treatment and care with both an inpatient unit and day infusion lounge.
As an Enrolled Nurse, your responsibilities will include: Deliver safe, researched-based standards of nursing care.Deliver education and support to individuals/patients for the management of their health recovery, rehabilitation, or end-of-life needs.Lead successful quality improvement and safety management projects to deliver desired outcomes.Work collaboratively with the wider healthcare team to support patient care needs.Act as a role model for Safe Practice.Medication endorsed EN may administer medications according to state law and organisational policy.Minimum Requirements: Minimum 2 years' EN experience in an acute hospital setting.Authority to Work in Australia.Valid NSW Working with Children check.Enrolled Nurse qualification.Advanced level of clinical skills.Current Registration (no restriction) with AHPRA.Compliance with ACQSHC National standards.Clinical expertise and commitment to high-quality patient care and continuous improvement.Self-motivated and proven ability to work as part of a high-functioning team.Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.Highly developed interpersonal skills, proactive, motivated, and customer-focused.Monitoring and Administering IV Medications qualifications will be held in high regard.To Apply: Please click on the 'Apply' button to be taken to our online application form. If you are successful in the role, you will receive a salary based on your years of relevant registered nursing experience against the current Healthscope and NSWNMA/ANMF – NSW Nurses and Midwives' – Enterprise Agreement 2020 – 2024, a salary ranging from $32.12 - $34.96 per hour. Applicants will be required to provide a current National Police check, WWCC (where applicable), and Evidence of right to work in Australia prior to appointment. Staff in patient contact roles will be required to provide proof of immunity to specified infectious diseases as a Category A Healthcare worker.
