The Enrolled Nurse is an associate to the Registered Nurse to provide person-centred nursing care under direct and indirect supervision of the Registered Nurse. The ideal applicant will be someone who has proven ability and can demonstrate the following:
Contribute to assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of person-centred nursing care under the delegation of the registered nurse/midwife.
Work as an effective member within a multidisciplinary team.
Effectively communicate verbally and in writing with the multidisciplinary team, patients and their families.
Use or learn to use information systems appropriate to the position.
Own ongoing professional development.
About the Unit:
Eventide Residential Aged Care Facility (RACF) is a Queensland Health managed aged care service within the Townsville Hospital and Health Service (THHS) and is located at Charters Towers. The facility provides care for 70 residents with 26 places for dementia care, 10 places for psycho-geriatric care and 34 places for older persons who require care due to fragility and complex care needs.

Generous remuneration package value up to $86,513 p.a. comprising:
Salary range of $2730.40 to $2897.80 p.f. or $35.92 to $38.12 p.h. (Nurse Grade 3)
Annual leave with 17.5% loading
12.75% employer contribution to superannuation.

Role Requirements:
Proof of qualification (Diploma of Nursing or equivalent), registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) and possession of a current practising certificate.
Highly Desirable: Evidence of completion of modules related to medication administration and peripheral intravenous therapy.
National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) Worker Screening Check: As a Health Care worker in Queensland Health who engages in risk-assessed roles, you must hold a current disability check (Yellow Card or Yellow Card Exemption) or an NDIS worker screening check, in accordance with Part 5 of the Disability Services Act 2006 (Qld).
This is a Vaccine Preventable Diseases (VPD) risk role: Hepatitis A/B, Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, and Pertussis.
Possession of class C drivers' licence.
Probation period may apply.
