About the role Mater has an exciting opportunity for an Enrolled Nurse to join the Mater Mothers' Hospital Diabetes Service in the Obstetric Medicine team. This role is being offered on a maternity leave contract for 16 hours a week commencing 31/3/2025 through to 5/4/2026.
In this role you will be responsible for the provision of patient centred nursing care under the direction and supervision of a Registered Nurse to maximise effective patient outcomes.
Responsibilities will include (but are not limited to):
Delivery of safe, quality nursing care under both direct and indirect supervisionAchieve optimal health outcomes through provision of nursing careUtilise a problem-solving approach in order to provide the best nursing careEffective identification, escalation and management of riskManaging relationships and liaising effectively with other members of the multidisciplinary team in the delivery of optimal health careMaintenance of appropriate levels of suppliesAbout you Suitable applicants must have:
Current AHPRA Enrolled Nurse registration (no restrictions)Previous experience in diabetes and digital health interface (desirable)Demonstrated clinical knowledge and ability to work within the scope of Enrolled Nurse (Med) practice.Demonstrated effective communication and time management skills to maximise patient care within the multi-disciplinary teamDemonstrated understanding of the role of continuous quality improvement activities in the provision of care.Demonstrated commitment to achieve internal and external customer and organisational outcomes.Demonstrated commitment to continuing professional development.An ability to work under minimal supervisionApplications close on 22nd November 2024.
