About us:
The Day Surgery Unit services the operating theatres and is staffed from 7am to 7pm to safely discharge patients. The unit has 3 beds and 5 chairs, located close to the Pre-admission unit, which is also staffed by the Day Surgery unit. The Central Sterilising Department is in Block 2 of the main hospital. The units have recently been refurbished, with the last stage to take place in 2025. Currently, there are 3 washers, 2 low temp sterilisers, and 2 steam sterilisers. The unit adheres to the AS5369 Sterilisation standards.
About the role:
The Enrolled Nurse Advanced Skills (ENAS) performs under the direction and supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN) and is responsible for delivering competent evidence-based nursing care within their scope of practice.
About you: Mandatory qualification/s:
- Current registration as an Enrolled Nurse with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) and a current annual practising certificate.
- A Certificate III in Sterilising Services is mandatory, and proof of qualification is required. Consideration may be given to applicants actively studying towards completion of the Certificate III.
- An understanding of the importance of quality, safety, and risk in a healthcare environment.
- Knowledge of and a demonstrated commitment to quality processes and evidence-based practices, identifying areas for improvement and contributing to these improvements.
- Proven ability to work effectively as a team member with the ability to facilitate, promote, and adapt to change.
What we offer: Salary information:
Total remuneration value of up to $18,848 p.a. is comprised of:
- An hourly rate between $39.25 - $41.65 p.h.
- 12.75% employer superannuation contribution
