Enrolled Nurse Advanced Skill (Mental Health - Orchid Inpatient Unit)Provide a service that has integrated hospital and community mental health services and specialist drug and alcohol services.
An opportunity has become available for an Enrolled Nurse Advanced Skill (Mental Health - Orchid Inpatient Unit) to join Gold Coast Health (GCH) where the focus of our 12 000-strong team is on providing world-class health care to people living in the Gold Coast, and northern New South Wales region of Australia.
You will Demonstrate knowledge and skills relevant to older persons mental health in the provision of careParticipate in unit activities other than direct patient care and/or represent the work unit on committees as relevantMaintain the safety of self and others by identifying risk and undertaking safe work practices including participation in incident reporting and quality improvement activitiesInvolvement in and support of quality initiatives and relevant application of the National Safety and Quality Heath Service StandardsAbout you To be successful in this position you will require:
Must hold a Board (NMBA) approved qualification in medication administration. Completion of 519HLTEN A, B or C or 007HLTEN will be highly regardedAn Advanced Diploma qualification in relevant area of specialty is highly desirableRegistration with the Nursing Midwifery Board of AustraliaEvidence of vaccination, or be able to be vaccinated against and remain vaccinated against - Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Pertussis and Hepatitis BTuberculosis screening, to identify if the tuberculosis vaccination may be requiredDeclaration of serious discipline history must be disclosedCriminal History Screening will be required for new employees (GCH will cover cost)Permanent full time or permanent part time (hrs negotiable)Base salary ranging from $77 840 - $82 599 per annum, $39.25 - $41.65 per hourAbout Us The Gold Coast Mental Health and Specialist Service provide a service that has integrated hospital and community mental health services and specialist drug and alcohol services. Service activities include Extended Treatment and Rehabilitation, Acute Inpatient for adults and child and youth patients, Older Persons Inpatient and Community, Acute Community Services i.e. Acute Care Treatment, Mobile Intensive Recovery, Homeless Health Outreach, Specialist Community Alcohol and other Drugs Services.
