We are seeking Enrolled Nurses to provide expert, patient-centred nursing care in the Emergency Department at Launceston General Hospital.
The Team:The Emergency Department team at Launceston General Hospital (LGH), as part of the Department of Health Tasmania, consists of highly skilled emergency physicians, nurses, paramedics, and support staff who collaborate to provide urgent and life-saving care to the community.
The team utilises advanced medical protocols to assess, stabilise, and treat patients with acute conditions, ranging from trauma to medical emergencies.
Working closely with other departments and community health services, they ensure timely escalation and transfer of critical patients to appropriate care levels.
Through their commitment to rapid response and high-quality care, the team plays a crucial role in safeguarding the health and well-being of Tasmanians.
The Role:Provide expert, patient-centred nursing care in a high-pressure Emergency Department setting.Deliver advanced clinical care for critically ill or injured patients, including trauma, cardiac, and paediatric emergencies.Safely manage deteriorating patients with prompt interventions.Collaborate with the care team for comprehensive critical care management.Manage multiple patient presentations simultaneously in a dynamic and unpredictable environment.Note: Please refer to the Statement of Duties for all the selection criteria of this position to address in your application.

Registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia as an Enrolled Nurse (holds a Board-approved qualification in administration of medicines).
