The Position We invite applications from Enhanced Learning Assistants to join our Enhanced Learning team in our School. The ideal candidate will engage with students who have a range of learning needs who require support across multiple learning areas. The Enhanced Learning Assistant will support student learning needs in an inclusive classroom environment, fostering growth and development to enable our young people to become confident learners and experience progress and success. The successful candidate will be required to work during Term Time only (not required to work during school holidays).
Key Responsibilities: Working in partnership with subject teachers to support student learning. Working with students in the class setting, providing 1:1 instructional support. Using strategies based on knowledge of students' physical, social, and intellectual development and characteristics to improve student learning. Working with small groups of students to support development in all curriculum areas. Maintaining daily written documentation on relevant behaviour and learning as required. About You: Appropriate educational qualifications (e.g., Certificate III in Education Support, or start of bachelor's degree in education), or relevant work experience. Excellent skills in the contemporary use of learning technologies, supporting students with individual needs. Promoting a warm, positive, and nurturing environment while supporting students with their learning. Ability to work flexibly within a large team and with Classroom Teachers in a professional manner. Building and maintaining positive working relationships with students, bringing out the best in them.
